An extensive background in psychology, philosophy and sport, has helped Marc develop a unique ability to help leaders and athletes achieve 'meaningful success'. His work as a management consultant, executive coach and sport psychology consultant has been featured in numerous publications and media spots, including FOX Sports, Men’s HealthCIO magazine, and American Airlines’ Celebrated Living.

Marc has delivered assessment, training and performance coaching to a wide variety of organizations. McKinsey & Company, Microsoft, J.P. Morgan, Manchester City Football Club, and U.S. Army Recruiting have all benefited from working with Marc and Winning Mind. He consults regularly with Olympic and professional athletes from around the world.

Marc has presented research data and professional papers at international congresses including the European Association of Personality Psychology and the American College of Sports Medicine. He has published widely in the area of performance psychology, including co-authorship of the book Assessment in Sport Psychology with Dr. Robert Nideffer and chapter authorship in the Encyclopedia of Applied Psychology.

Marc played a key role in the development and design of breakthrough training and assessment products and services, including AME [Athlete's Mental Edge], the world’s first web-based, sport-psychological assessment and training program.

A Phi Beta Kappa Philosophy graduate from The Colorado College, Marc received his Master’s degree in Sport Psychology from San Diego State University with highest honors. He received his “A” level coaching license from the United States Soccer Federation (USSF), was registered as a professional with the USSF, and competed both in Europe and the United States.

From 1995–2001, Marc served as Chief Operating Officer for Enhanced Performance Systems Inc., a pioneer in the development and application of psychological assessment and training tools. In 2001, he helped found Winning Mind LLC.

A licensed Clinical Psychologist, Dr. Lowry began his professional career in the U.S. Army where he served on active duty as a psychologist for over eight years. During that period, he was privileged to work in the Special Operations community with assignments to the 160th Special Operations Aviation Regiment and 1st Special Forces Operational Detachment-Delta. His work involving selection and assessment, training, and operational support provided him with unparalleled exposure to the mindset of elite military leaders and operators whose focus must be maintained under the toughest conditions.

After leaving active duty in 1996, Dr. Lowry continued to work with the military while expanding his expertise in the sport and business realms as a senior consultant at Enhanced Performance Systems, Inc. In 2001, he helped found Winning Mind LLC. In addition to working with his military clients, Dr. Lowry advises a wide range of Fortune 1000 companies and professional sports teams. He has provided performance consulting to organizations such as International Paper, Vans, McKinsey & Company, Coach, the New York Rangers, and the Edmonton Oilers.

Dr. Lowry's military-focused work includes the development one of the core components to the Adaptive Leadership and Thinking training provided to U.S. Army Special Forces Officers at the JFK Special Warfare Center and School. Further, he continues to provide mental toughness training to a variety of Special Operations soldiers at Ft. Bragg and other military forces

Dr. Lowry received his B.A. from Providence College and his Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of Notre Dame.

GEOFF MILLER

A highly-regarded expert in baseball psychology, Geoff Miller manages sport programs at Winning Mind and conducts corporate coaching programs and talent development using applications and tangible lessons from the sports world. Since 2005, Geoff has provided mental skills coaching services to the Pittsburgh Pirates (2005-2009), Washington Nationals (2010), and Atlanta Braves (2010-2014.) Geoff’s organizational involvement has included Major League players and staff, Player Development at every minor league level, and psychological evaluations of potential draft picks in Scouting.  In 2012, he authored Intangibles: Big-League Stories and Strategies for Winning the Mental Game – in Baseball and in Life, a unique look at the mental game that teaches players and entertains fans.

In addition to his work in baseball, Geoff is a resource to player agents and amateur athletes in all sports as well as to corporations. He has consulted with such corporate clients as Fidelity, MetLife, Chick-fil-A, and Genesys. He has lectured to a diverse mix of audiences, including Leaders in Sport, the SABR Analytics Conference, the American Baseball Coaches Association, the Golf Coaches Association of America, and the USMC Wounded Warrior Regiment. He has led intensive academic skills training programs for NCAA football players, headed up golf psychology duties at Okemo Valley Golf Academy in Ludlow, VT, and has developed programs for retired athletes transitioning into new careers as well as for teaching young athletes how to become role models in their communities.

With strengths in technical research and writing, Geoff’s work includes the first scientific documentation of decision-making factors used by high school baseball players when faced with the choice between playing college or professional baseball. He also co-authored a chapter on Assessment in Sport Psychology in the Encyclopedia of Applied Psychology.

Geoff received his Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from UC Riverside and earned a Master’s degree in Sport Psychology from San Diego State University.
